Ide and Chris’s family had come from Ireland, Australia and all over the UK for their wedding at the Elephant Hotel, Pangbourne in Berkshire. The Elephant is a quirky, boutique hotel in the centre of Pangbourne, decorated in a colonial style with indian furniture, oriental rugs and lots of elephants!
I met up with Ide getting ready in the hotel with her Mum and sisters. I always enjoy this part of the day and Ide was remarkably calm and laid back even when a last minute ear ring proved tricky! After some photographs in the hotel, we all headed next door to St James Church for the ceremony.
The church is Chris’s family church and after a few group shots at the church, the vicar kindly allowed us to take some bridal portraits of Ide and Chris in the vicarage garden next to the church. We then headed back to the hotel where all the guests were in the garden. It was a fun, family wedding with lots of children and garden games for the guests to enjoy. I always enjoy taking photographs of the giant jenga, great photo opportunities.
Ide and Chris chose a raspberry colour scheme for their wedding at the Elephant Hotel, and I particularly liked Ide’s rustic bouquet by the very talented florist Fiona Handley Floral Design.
