Wedding at Remenham Club in Henley on Thames

Bride and Groom looking happy outside Leander Club in Henley

Vicki and Tam were married on a sunny August day in Henley Town Hall.  Afterwards they held their riverside wedding at Remenham Boat Club in Henley on Thames.

I met Vicki on the morning of the wedding getting ready in the Red Lion Hotel in Henley.  They planned a relaxed and laid back wedding.   I wasn’t surprised to see Vicki calmly getting her hair and make up done when I arrived at the hotel.  I loved Vicki’s dress, simple elegance with amazing beaded straps by Anna Campbell Bridal and she looked simply stunning. We had time to do some bridal portraits in the Red Lion Hotel with Vicki and her Dad. Afterwards we drove to the Town Hall in their camper van, specially decorated for the occasion.

Emily Little, my second photographer on the day met Tam and his best man getting ready in a cottage in Henley.  Afterwards they walked through the town centre to the ceremony at Henley Town Hall.

After the ceremony,  we drove in the Camper Van to the Remenham Club in Henley. Meanwhile their guests travelled to the beautiful riverside location in vintage launches from Hobbs of Henley.  On the way we stopped at the Leander Club for some shots on the river with Henley Bridge in the background.  The Remenham Club is a private rowing club about a third of the way along the famous Henley Regatta Course.

Vicki and Tam are former competitive rowers and had a strong connection with Henley Regatta. They  asked to have photos taken with Temple Island in the background.  After a mingle with their guests we went in the boat on a short trip on the Thames.  The August weather was perfect and we were also lucky to have a beautiful sunset for some more photographs after the wedding breakfast.

Mary did a fantastic job, so many of our guests were commenting about her relaxed approach. She also ensured that my husband and I allowed sufficient time for our photos together nicely spread through the day which was lovely from the more formal ones at the start to relaxed romantic shots as the sun was setting.

Their wedding was such a relaxed and friendly wedding where guests enjoyed sitting in the sun on the banks of the Thames watching the activity on the river.

Vicki and Tam’s colour scheme for the day was pale yellow and pastel blue and they decorated the Remenham Club themselves.  Cake! by Chloe created a beautiful, simple but gorgeous cake.   The flowers were supplied by Joanne Caldwell floral designs and Goose and Berry provided the catering for the wedding.

The Remenham Club is stunning location for a Oxfordshire riverside wedding.  Meanwhile, if you are planning a wedding at Remenham Club in Henley on Thames, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
