Family FAQ

How long do your family photography sessions last?

Normally my sessions are between 1½ – 2 hours depending if we use two locations. Sometimes I will start in your home or garden and go to the park or nearby woods. I don’t book another shoot immediately afterwards, so no need to feel rushed.

What should we wear for a photo session?

Prior to the shoot, I will be in touch to advise you on clothing choice. If you decide to display my images on a wall or in a frame, you can produce a more cohesive look by chosing a pallette of colours that work well together. There is no need to go out and buy new clothes for everyone.

What if it is raining, can we reschedule?

Absolutely! The weather in the UK is unpredictable as we know and as my shoots are done on location, we sometimes have to reschedule due to the weather.

Do you have a studio?

No, I don’t have a permanent studio but use outdoors and your home as my studio. I worked in a studio in the past and feel that children are more relaxed when playing outdoors rather than in a studio environment. I do have portable lighting and a backdrop if required.

Will you travel?

Yes, I love going to new locations and very happy to travel. I do charge extra for travel costs out of my area and I have photographed families in the lavender fields in Surrey, the beach at West Wittering, urban shoots in London, Scotland, and other locations throughout Oxfordshire, Bucks and Berkshire.

Are you insured?

I am fully insured with personal indemnity and public liability insurance. I carry professional cameras and lenses with back up equipment.
