Lucy and Dave chose Danesfield House Hotel, elevated above the River Thames between Marlow and Henley on Thames for their classical and elegant wedding. It is one of the most stunning wedding venues in Buckinghamshire. A country house set in 65 areas of Chiltern scenery, it makes the perfect quintessentially english wedding venue. A professional wedding photographer’s dream with lots of baronial architecture, sculptured gardens, archways and beautiful river views and ample opportunities for creative wedding photography
I arrived in the morning and met Lucy and her bridesmaids at the hotel in one of their beautiful rooms overlooking the grounds. I always shoot this part of the day in an unobtrusive documentary photography style, just capturing the story of the day as it unfolds. During this time I photograph all the details, wedding dress, shoes, jewellery and flowers. A chandelier in the bedroom came in handy for a different way to photograph the wedding dress. Lucy was a beautiful bride and her wedding dress from Ellie Sanderson’s bridal boutique in Beaconsfield looked simply stunning on her.
The ceremony was held in the Versailles Suite overlooking the garden, the most beautiful room you could chose to get married in. After the ceremony guests headed out on to the terrace while Lucy and Dave went off for their photographs.
This is one of my favourite wedding venues and it is perfect for creating romantic wedding photographs.
I thoroughly enjoyed capturing this wedding and had lots of opportunities for documentary style wedding photography in addition to the fine art portraits taken in the gardens and archways around the grounds.
