I love to photograph weddings at the Hotel du Vin as it is such a quirky venue and perfect for a small, intimate wedding party. A former brewery for 300 years, the hotel is made up of several historic listed buildings and is one of the most interesting hotels in the Henley area.

The wedding ceremony and reception were being held in the historic Tithe Barn with drinks in the Victorian Malthouse opposite full of rooms oozing with character, a wedding photographer’s dream location.

Last August, on one of the hottest days of the summer, I had the pleasure of capturing Emma and Josh’s wedding in a very elegant marquee in Emma’s parents’ garden near Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire. Such a stunning location, with lots of nooks and crannies for photographs. My New Year’s Eve 2016 turned out a little different than planned when I went to the rescue of a Bride and Groom whose Wedding Photographer had to pull out of their wedding at Bix Manor near Henley in Oxfordshire at the 11th hour. It turned out to be an amazing, fun filled wedding with lots of surprises.
When Laura and Rob first approached me about photographing their wedding at Bix Manor, it became obvious from our first chat that their wedding was going to be fun. They just wanted all their family and friends together and to have a party which is my kind of wedding and always fun to capture. Laura also planned the wedding in less than 2 months which is definitely a challenge as they did not have a small wedding!
Hailey and Carl had approached me over a year ago after I was recommended to them by one of my previous brides. It was a cold and windy December day last year when I met up with Liz and her bridesmaids in The Oxford Hotel to start capturing Liz and fiancé Ash’s wedding day. I had met Liz a year before at a networking event and she liked my natural style of wedding photography and had booked me to document the story of their day. They wanted a mixture of documentary photography and fine art bridal portraits and that is just what I do!
Lynn and Peter’s wedding was a lovely, happy, intimate and relaxed day with only 11 guests and they chose to get married at Henley Register Office and have a lunch reception at Orwells Restaurant in Shiplake, near Henley on Thames. They liked the documentary style of my photography and asked me to take lots of natural, candid shots throughout the day.
